Atopic Dermatitis Eczema Treatment

Atopic Dermatitis treatment and its permanence?
I've had Atopic Dermatitis (some form of Eczema?) for a few years now and it's really hurting my self-esteem, but my mom refuses to take me to a dermatologist and learn more about it and how to treat it. So..
I read in a lot of places that Atopic Dermatitis has no cure. Is this true? If it gets treated, is it at least not visible on the skin?
Is there a certain specific product that I should look into about treating this? How long will it take?
If I treat it, will I have to continue buying and using that product or can I keep it away by precautions in diet, moisturization, etc. etc. ?
Sorry about all the questions, but I'm really bad at using the internet and I don't know anyone with this condition. Thanks in advance for your answers.
Hello there. Let me guess: you are under 16 years old. Look: 15% of children (teens included in the category) have eczema (atopic dermatitis is another name for eczema) and only 1-2% of adults.
Chances are that your skin gets clear on its own when the time comes. Don't fret about it in the meantime.
Keep your skin moisturized, avoid hot showers/baths (they dehydrate the skin), avoid household chemicals and perfumed soaps/shampoos.
If push does come to shove, you may also want to try anti-eczema cream by Champori - it worked on my eczema like a clockwork.
Cheers,
Stella
Eczema Treatment: Important to Save Social Embarrassment Too
It is sad but true that we can have allergy to anything and everything and the reasons are not actually clear. Very often, it could be due to low immunity because of the habituation of the body of living in cleaner environment all throughout life. And sudden exposure to certain elements in a new environment can stir up negative reactions from the skin.
One of the common reasons could be the level of pollutants and toxins in the atmosphere, which cause unhealthy impact on the skin. And especially those whose immunity system is unable to cope up with this can face an annoying allergic reaction. Eczema is a skin condition characterised by rashes, inflammation, and dryness along with persistent itching. The medical name for the common type of eczema is atopic dermatitis. Eczema treatment is important to not only free the sufferer from this tormenting situation, but to also save him/her from the social embarrassment that it causes.
Other types of eczema are contact dermatitis where itchy rashes may develop upon touching an allergic substance. Eczema treatment thus relies mostly on avoidance of such allergens and proper skin care involving use of moisturisers and cleansers. Usually, eczema is seen on certain regular spots which could be the softer and the more neglected skin areas on the body, such as the neck, insides of the arms, etc. One thus requires taking special care of the skin during the hard times of eczema flare-ups.
It is seen that certain other conditions such as asthma can also have a serious impact on eczema. One ought to take care of the breathing environment since it can strongly influence the onset of respiratory difficulties, as well as of the problems related to the skin. Diet is another important consideration during eczema treatment. This is because food containing high acidic content can induce the typical flare-ups, common in eczema, which refer to the sudden appearance of rashes over the affected area.
