Baby Eczema Dairy

My 1 yr old neice has bad eczema help!?
She has quite bad eczema and is always itchy. We don't like seeing her always itchy as its unfair. I had eczema a while ago so I know how she feels. Does anyone know anything that really does help the itching and prevention? Shes been to doctors but they just keep giving her more and more creams, which don't actually help. And what is the main cause of eczema in babies? She has had it for a few months now and has only just started drinking cow milk so I don't think it could be dairy..?
Make sure that she has some healthy fats in her diet. A bit of olive oil, fish oil or other source of omega 3 fatty acid and especially, vitamin D. Vitamin D levels were set in the 1930s and no one looked at the function of vitamin D until recently. Find D-3, if possible. The requirement for adults has gone up 250% in five years and research in linking lack of D to many problems like cancers, heart disease, multiple sclerosis and other problems. My doctor told me he had been at a symposium where he was told Vitamin D is now being considered as a hormone.
I would put virgin olive oil on the eczema. It may take three months or so, but she should improve. Give her probiotics like yogurt, too.
I hate it so much when little children hurt or are so uncomfortable like this! It seems so unfair!
Understanding Toddler Eczema - Find Out How To Treat Toddler Eczema
Seeing your little one tear their skin to shreds is something you want to avoid at all costs. Eczema in children is very difficult as their itch threshold is much lower than that of an adult. Telling your child to stop scratching is as good as useless. The way forward is to get an insight into what is causing the toddler eczema in the first place.
Following are some of the worst offenders for causing toddler eczema.
Diet
Many children develop an allergy/sensitivity to certain foods at a young age. Common foods which can cause the symptoms of eczema are: dairy, wheat, additives, nuts, fish and eggs. It is highly advisable to ask your doctor to arrange for a allergy skin-test to be performed. This way you can determine what your child is allergic to and eliminate the offending foods from the diet. You can get advice from a dietician as to alternatives for the missing foods in the diet.
Allergens
As well as foods there are many substances which contain allergens (allergy causing factor) that are commonly found in the household. These substances include, dust, pollen, heavy detergents such as clothes washing powder and animal dander. Much the same way as with food, you can have an allergy tests for these kinds of substances, again allowing you to eliminate from the environment and reduce the chances of toddler eczema.
Clothing
There are certain types of material which cause irritation on the skin, whether it be because of over-heating and sweating or because of an abrasive feature of the material. Such materials include, Wool, polyester linen and leather. Research has shown that the only material which is 100% non-allergenic is cotton. Luckily this is the most common material for clothing so there shouldn't be a problem for accessing this type of clothing.
There has been much debate about the over-usage of cleaning materials about the house. Many parents believe that the cleaner the environment, the less chance of allergies and skin irritation. While, up to a point this is true, however, there has been studies to show that over-sterilizing can cause the child to have an under-developed immunity to certain allergens. As stated, it is somewhat inconclusive but it is worth bearing in mind not to over sterilize but use cleaning detergents at a normal level of intensity.
There are many avoidance measures and natural methods for eliminating eczema from the body that can be implemented quickly and easily. For a full guide to getting rid of eczema once and for all, continue to preven methods to Treat Eczema.
