Baby Eczema On Face Pictures
My daughter is going on two months, she has a rash could it be eczema?
She has red spots on her face that are really rough, they're on her cheeks, chin and her forehead. Like I said it's really rough and dry, but when I was reading on eczema it said usually babies don't have signs untill they're three months. But when I saw the pictures, I said wow thats what she has. Her next appoint isn't for a few days, and if it's treatable at home I wanted to start now. So could it be eczema or something else, any suggestions on what it is and what to buy for it?
Thanx for the answers, I think I'm going to wait to ask her doc. but I think it's dandruff like someone said, because it is in her eyebrows, and her ears. But I'm just going to wait to ask her doc. I wasn't trying to get a doctors advice, I just wanted to see if anyone has been through the same sit, and could help out without having to see a doc. But I will go see her doc.
It could be eczema but it's more likely to be Seborrhea-basically dandruff. Babies get on their faces ( esp eye brows) and also ear. If this is the case, it can be pretty persistent but usually clears up with once daily treatment of hydrocortisone 1%. Rashes are REALLY hard to diagnose with out a physical exam,though so if it's not bothersome, maybe wait until her appt.
