What works best for baby eczema?
My 8 month old son has eczema on the back of both arms & the top of both legs! What works the best in soothing/healing eczema? I've been using baby Aveeno cream, but I thought there might be something better out there!
My son's doctor didn't want to prescribe him Hydrocortizone cream although it will clear it up, he's only 5 1/2 months old and with Eczema it will come and go a lot, so it's defineatly not good to use Hydrocortizone cream on babies that young because of the repeated usage of it (its a steroid).
But the doctor told me to rub olive oil on where ever it's at, so I've been doing that for about a half a week and it's clearing up already! You can also give him children's liquid benedrel every 6 hrs as needed for the itching. You can call your doctor if you want them to figure out a correct dosage to give your son (since the box says consult a doctor for under 2 years old or something like that) they told me 0.4cc for my son.
