Is it normal to develop eczema when you're a teenager?

I've had rosacea when I was an infant and chicken pox the following year. Other than that, I have been relatively healthy and have suffered from no other skin conditions. Over the summer, I developed a small, itchy patch on my wrist and eventually got a skin cream to treat it. I now only get occasional flare-ups when I'm stressed. I've read that eczema mostly affects small children, so I don't understand why it's affecting me now in my teen years.

Also, does eczema ever permanently go away? Or is it a lifelong condition?

I also got eczema as a teenager (like in the last couple of years), it mostly affects small children yeah but it can develop at any age really; kind of like asthma. It's normal really, there's nothing to worry about, just treat it with cream when it flares up. Try not to get too stressed, and I find that it doesn't flare up that often. As far as I know, I think it's lifelong, but really its no big deal. Take care.
