Eczema Food Avoid

eczema between fingers and toes..?
Around this time I get really itchy between my toes and fingers...I really hate it and was wondering if there are foods to avoid to help ease the flair ups...Does anyone else get this and how do you treat it? Any natural cures?
You def. want to avoid exposing those areas to strong soaps and powders or anything else irritating. Don't over-wash your hands and feet either and keep the areas lubricated with unscented emollients or unscented lotions.
You can try applying a cool wet washcloth to the itchy spots to relieve itching short-term and then pat dry when you're done. DO NOT SCRATCH!!!
Hope that helps you.
Healing Eczema - Yes, You Can Heal Your Eczema And Avoid Future
Suffering from eczema can be extremely difficult and unbearable at times. Many sufferers put up with the symptoms and accept that they have a skin disease which has no cure. However, there are methods for healing eczema and help you steer clear of future flare-ups.
The eczema skin is usually very sensitive and the root cause of many out-breaks of eczema is due to coming into contact with an irritant either by directly onto the kin, taken orally or inhaled . Many people are sensitive and/or allergic to many substances and don’t realise that is why they are experiencing the symptoms of eczema.
The first step is to find out what you have a sensitivity to. This can be done a few ways. You can have a skin test known as a skin-prick test, which is performed in a clinically, controlled setting. You can ask your doctor for this test. Various known allergen-containing substances will be placed onto your skin just beneath the surface and the results monitored for a reaction.
Common irritants are:
1) Materials - Wool, Polyester, Latex, Rubber, Silk, leather
2) Perfumes & chemicals - perfumed beauty products, non-organic shampoo, some types of deodorants, household detergents.
3) Food - Artificial colourings and additives (E numbers), nuts, wheat, eggs, fish, alcohol, some types of fruit and vegetables.
Some alternatives for the above irritants could include:
1) Cotton clothing
2) Non-perfumed products, organic skin and hair products and/or dermatologically tested skin products. Non-biological clothes washing powder/detergent.
3) Depending on what form the sensitivity takes, this would simply be a matter of avoiding the offending foods. There are so many natural foods to choose from there should be plenty of alternatives. The most common irritant is additives in food so the less processed the food, the better.
You can also self-monitor your skin by keeping a diary of when you have a eczema flare-up and where you were and what you were doing/eating. It will only be a matter or time before a trend forms if you are carrying out your usual daily activities.
Once you have pin-pointed the substance/s you have sensitivity to, it is then a matter of avoiding them. In the meantime you should be using a skin cream which is compatible with your skin, preferably a natural skin cream which is un-perfumed, and moisturizing your skin around 1-2 times per day. Only moisturize after washing your skin. If there is existing eczema wounds on your skin, with the avoidance of further irritants, they will begin to heal along with the moisturizing.
After implementing the above steps, you should be on your way to healing eczema on your skin and avoiding any flare-ups of eczema in the future.
