Eczema Kids Treatment

how to treat my baby's eczema?
I'm almost positive that's what it is, but I haven't gone to the doctor yet. She has red dry patches on her back and my cousin who has had kids with eczema, said that's exactly what it looks like. Is there anything I can do at home or buy over the counter to treat it? Or is the treatment a prescription ointment by doctors orders only? Thanks all!
oh btw she's 5 months
My two kids have eczema-since they were infants!! You need to take her to the Dr because depending her type of eczema she'll need a prescription cream.
However with my kids we use over the counter Glaxall base-it's just a very strong moisturizing cream-that's completely hypoallergenic. I apply it in the mornings before getting them dressed and in the evenings after bath time. It stays during the day with them, unlike the Aveeno that does nothing for them and washes off very quickly.
So yea Glaxall Base can be found in the lotion section of your pharmacy-is over the counter. I've used since my children were very little, so I strongly suggest that to begin with and see how she does!
Ohh here's the cream! http://www.glaxalbase.com/products/moisturizing-cream.html
Good Luck!!
