Eczema Mole
my mole was itchy it had a bump, i scratched, it bled, now its an open raised scaby sore. whats going on ?
so i always have had this mole on my elbow and it has never changed, just a small oval brown mole with a little freckle beside it that is the same color. its kind of cute. but the other day it was itchy and i scartched it only a little and i felt that it had a dry bump on it that felt like a scab, it came off and my mole started to bleed. that was 3 days ago and now there is a glossy see through red scab that is raised where the bump was before. and though the itching has stopped i dont know what to make of this?? is it just eczema or something? or should i be getting this looked at for cancer?
I don't think there is any urgency here but if I were you, I would discuss it with your doctor next time you see him. Not because of accidentally scratching it, (it will heal itself without complication if you keep it clean and dry and avoid any infection,) but because the mole is in a "precarious" spot on your body.
