Eczema Peanut Butter

Possible Allergies, a few questions?
So a miracle happened and I got my twins into a pediatrician on a cancellation. They have been having growth issues and eczema issues as well.
This doctor thinks that it is a possible allergy to dairy and nuts. He says that going off of breastmilk is not the answer, and formula may not be the best alternative. The answer is me stopping eating/drinking anything dairy or nut related. So as far as I know this means that I may not have any of the following:
milk, butter, cheese, anything from Starbucks other than coffee or tea (I"m upset at this the most!), soy milk or nuts, peanut butter, peanuts, almonds etc, mayonnaise
Anything I'm missing?
Also, pertaining to my freezer stash of milk, does this mean that I have to dump it all?
Isn't soy part of the nut family in a way? I could be wrong
Yes, you definitely need to dump your pumped stash. I know, it's hard.....
My son is dairy and soy intolerant - if there's not milk in it, there's soy in it, so it's SOOOO hard to avoid both, and for us, hypoallergenic formula (Nutramigen) was the best option. Gutted at first, but.....oh well.
You can have soy milk, as well as rice milk, although neither are grat for cooking.
Milk is also "hidden" in things like bread, so be careful with that. The small amounts of milk in bread combined with the small amount of the milk protein that makes it through your breast milk may mean that it doesn't affect your children, but it may. You might have to do a "milk challenge" to test it.
There are TONS of websites for dairy free living, although most use soy as an option, so if you find out they are MSPI (milk/soy protein intolerant) then you will have to do some more digging. There is a great cookbook by (uuuhhhh thinking here, Tamara somone?) - check on Amazon for "MSPI cookbook" that has recipes for the diet.
Good luck, it can be tough, but if you are able to do this for your children, you can do anything!! Well done for giving it a go in order to keep BFing!!!!
Eczema on Face – Clear Away Facial Rash
Facial eczema is more problematic because you cannot hide it from the public unless you wear a scarf or covering of some sort.
And even if you do manage to cover it up the rash will not be receiving the fresh air it needs to give it some chance to heal. So getting rid of facial eczema is paramount.
When you have eczema on other parts of your body you can cover it up in some way. When I suffered with eczema, I remember wearing gloves in the height of summer.
Fortunately I do not have to cover any part of my body now because I am totally eczema free. What I did to eliminate my eczema was to look at the foods I was eating.
If you eat good foods, healthy, nutritious, rejuvenating foods your body will heal itself from illness.
One of the foods I looked at was fats. There are good and bad fats but the majority of us tend to consume the bad fats. These fats are detrimental to your health and will tend to make your eczema worse in the long term.
Foods that you need to watch out for are every day foods such as biscuits, peanut butter, soups, chocolate, cereals, chips and desserts.
On your trips to the supermarket you need to be aware of the contents of the foods your chose. Watch out for high levels of hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils and trans fatty acids.
More reasons to stay away from trans fatty acids are:
#1 - If you consume trans fatty acids they will tend to interfere with cell respiration depriving your cells of oxygen.
#2 - When you eat mostly bad fats containing trans fatty acids you risk an increase of fat storage.
#3 - Trans fatty acids tend to limit fluidity of cell membranes and makes them leakier. All manner of toxin and waste products will pass through cell walls.
#4 - Trans fatty acids increase bad cholesterol increasing your chance of heart disease.
