Eczema Red Bumps

Dry-Like small red bumps on face(cheeks)?
Both of my checks have dry red bumps on then, Its not rosacea, nor is it acne.
I have had these bumps for about 5 years, when I went to my Derma, she said is was within the family of eczema, but it is not itchy. It also covers a small portion of my cheeks, I can remember my Derma saying to use cetaphil. Well I have used it for 2 years and nothing, so I switched to a high vitamin E cream which I have been using for about 5 months now, it got a little better at first, but now it doesnt seem to be helping anymore. Any ideas?
Are the bumps really tiny? Does it look like you are blushing all the time? I have something similar but the bumps are on my arms and my cheeks are always red. After having cleared up the eczema I had, it was a disappointment to find new red bumps and patches emerging again in September. Eczema is a chronic skin condition but I had thought that the dermatits problem was ot going to relapse. You have to be vigilant to control it and not let the red spots emerge again.
Moisturizing is important to do twice a daily. I had let this habit fade away once I had thought my skin was healed. You need to lock the moisture into your skin and it has to become a routine just like brushing your teeth and flossing in order to prevent eczema rashes from recurring. You can use a sensitive skin moisturizing lotion or one from the health food store with no additives. When you put on lotion right after a bath or shower, it is very good protection for eczema-prone skin.
Stay vigilant in avoiding foods that cause an eczema outbreak, if you are aware of what causes an allergic reaction. I know for myself, certain candies with food dyes seem to result in a skin breakout so I have to avoid them. Always have substitutes available and don't let yourself think that your immune system can deal with it unless you know for sure it can! Common foods that cause reactions can include dairy products, eggs and highly processed foods.
Continue to shower or bathe with warm water rather than hot water. It is tempting to go back to this, but I have paid dearly for these little treats. You can still make it pretty warm but avoid it from getting very hot when you shower. Also try to prevent situations where you will perspire or be in excessive heat. If you go to the beach, limit this for a short period of time and go into the water or take a shower afterwards. Always apply a sensitive skin spf sunscreen as well when outdoors.
Be careful to not go back to other detergents, soaps and personal care products that you were not sure about as they can start the eczema rash cycle again. The sensitive skin products are more expensive, but it is worth avoiding the discomfort of red itchy skin and sleepless nights.
