Eczema Research 2009

Is the new tattoo policy only for the Air Force?
Hi thaR! I'm pending a waiver for eczema to get into the marines, and i was told that my tattoo on my right forearm is good to go ( i can cover it with my left hand easy). I've done some research on my own, but it seems that this tattoo policy i continue to here about is only for the air force.
The policy must have come out some time at the beginning of this month and i think it states that no tattoos will be allowed on the saluting hand of new recruits.
I fear that, apart from my waiver probably not getting approved, this tattoo policy will guarantee my permanent disqualification and crush my hopes of fighting for my country. Can anybody confirm for me exactly what branches are effected by the tattoo policy of late 2009?
The recent tattoo changes were only for the Air Force, and their newly restrictive policy has already been rescinded.
