Eczema Scars
Eczema Scars
what are these circle scars? eczema related?

I have eczema pretty badly and have had it my whole life. I've always noticed that some parts of me have more normal scars, ones that are white and become extremely noticeable when I get tan in the summer, and then I have others that are almost perfectly circular, that are dark on me. They are usually on my legs and I have no idea why I would end up with circle scars, especially if I scratch a whole area.

I was wondering if anyone else with eczema has similar ones, or if anyone has any idea what they are?

hey. i have eczema too and i get those white, depigmented areas. im not totally sure what the other ones are, as i dont have them, but a certain type of eczema - i think it's called discoid eczema - causes round, circular spots of eczema that usually occur symetrically on the body. for example, if you get a discoid patch on your left forearm, you'll likely get it on your right forearm too. Maybe your circular scars have something to do with this type of eczema?
if you start to get really worried about them or they start appearing on areas where you're positive you havent been getting eczema, go get them checked out by a doctor or dermo.
best of luck!
