Can I use baby diaper rash cream for my eczema?

I have ultra sensitive skin with eczema. Can I use baby diaper rash cream for my eczema (on my body) since it's formulated for babies which might be more gentle on sensitive skin. The cream I am looking at is 12% Zinc Oxide active ingredient.

Find a good probiotic like Primadohphilus Bifidus or Reuteri, as your eczema may be a symtom of a leaky gut.

This has helped numerous sufferers including babies.

Also use natural products on your skin, a lot of these baby creams are not as gentle and healthy for you or them.

Look under green baby website for gentle lotions.

betterlife.com for probiotics. In NZ they sell it in the health shops

Also wash clothes etc in something like ecover

The Best Skin Cream For Eczema - What You Need to Know

Highly sensitive, dry and irritated skin is the norm when suffering from eczema and this means that you can't use just any old skin cream to moisturize. However, because eczema skin is usually dry and tight, it is essential to find the best skin cream for eczema to allow you to sufficiently moisturize your skin without getting itchy.

Following are a few factors to bear in mind.

Many supposedly dermatologically tested skin creams still contain perfumes and other chemicals which can irritate the skin. These creams can also have lanolin and parabens used in the ingredients which also have been known to instigate itchy skin and discomfort.

Due to this is is important to find a skin cream that is truly free of the above ingredients so you can be confident that it will not cause your eczema to flare. There are many skin creams in the organic ranges which are perfect for eczema. The ingredients are 100% natural and many contain high levels of vitamin E which is essential for skin health and maintenance. These days there are more and more organic skin creams appearing on the market so it is not difficult to access them.

Many eczema sufferers are prescribed emollients from their doctor and this is fine if it works. However, emollients do not work for everyone and the heavy fatty layer of cream sitting on the top of the skin can cause further irritation and heat. If you are struggling on with emollients and they are not working for you, it is best to stop using them.

Finding the best cream for eczema usually takes a few goes to get it right but if you know what to look for and what can potentially make the skin worse, is far more helpful then jumping in blindly for the first cream that you see. It stands to reason that highly sensitive skin will respond better to gently creams with little or no harsh chemicals in the ingredients.

There are many ways to combat and prevent eczema to allow you to live a more comfortable and itch-free life. To access the full step-by-step guide to eliminating eczema, continue to Natural Treatment For Eczema.
