Eczema Staph Infection
Staph infection with eczema?
I have eczema and got a staph infection. I am on medication to get rid of it, so my question is what could have caused the staph infection. I know that they are caused by bacteria getting into an opening, but what kind of bacteria? How could I have contracted it?

when I said caused the staph infection I meant to say triggered it in the first place cus the cause is bacteria I just want to know what kind
Staph is really easy to get. One in four of us has staph just hanging out in our nasal cavities - even more of us carry it around on our hands.
More than likely, you scratched the eczema when it itched, which left an open wound. The bacteria probably transferred to the open wound from your hand, but it also could have been from simply touching darn-near anything, at the site of the open wound.
