Eczema Under The Eyes
Eczema Under The Eyes
Dry skin below and above eye; Is it Eczema?

For the past week or so my skin has been very dry/flaking off around one of my eyes. It's mostly dry under my eye, starting to spread to the outer corner of my eye and the cheekbone.

At the cheekbone, it is pink. When I peel off a large portion of the dry skin, the skin is all soft and pink underneath.

One time I got eczema on another part of my body and I treated it with baby powder (To keep it dry)
However, I'm not sure what the cause or cure of eczema is. I don't know if I'm supposed to be keeping it dry/moist and how to cure it.

And I don't think smearing baby powder under my eye will look all that pretty, you know?

Advice/facts about eczema or its cures are appreciated :) Or, if you think it might be another skin problem, any idea what?

I am sorry you have this problem. It is likely that you suffer from Eczema. Have you consult the doctor yet to confirm?
I notice that you try to keep it dry. However, I read somewhere that drier skin is much more prone to Eczema, because it is less flexible so will often crack and flake. The key to avoiding and preventing this is to moisturize regularly. You can try to moisture it naturally using coconut oil and moisturer instead of baby powder you were using

Eczema Eyes – Watch What you are Eating

In order to succeed at improving your health and eliminating your eczema it is important that you take a look at the foods you are currently eating and learn which ones are good for you.

Eczema around the eyes can be irritating. You can sometimes have the appearance of a polar bear.

To make some improvements all processed, denatured and cooked foods should be avoided. Also foods that cause sensitivities need to be eliminated. Foods such as milk and wheat products usually cause sensitivities. These foods may be reintroduced into your diet at a later date but while they cause allergies they should be avoided.

Sensitivities to these foods, if not eliminated can develop into other ailments such as arthritis, constipation, chronic fatigue and other emotional and mental problems including depression. So whilst you are on this Prove It Yourself Plan, you should avoid milk and all products made from it such as cheese and yogurt. All wheat and wheat based products should also be avoided such as bread and pasta.

Foods that come from tins, frozen and are heavily processed should be avoided. Concentrated foods such as white sugar and white flour or anything that contains synthetic additives such as chemical preservatives, humectants, emulsifiers, colorings and flavorings must be avoided too. These foods must be shunned whilst on the Prove It Yourself Plan.

The above foods are responsible for a decrease in vitality and increase your rate of early ageing and disease. It also contributes to the accumulation of wastes in tissues which block energy and creates blockages.
