Information on Eczema – Changing your Eczema Diet for the Cold
If you are following one of my Eczema Diets for the first time this year you might be wondering how you're going to survive through the cold, winter months.
It is a well known fact that during the cooler months of the year you need to consume more warm or hot foods than you do in the summer months.
You also need to consume more foods that generate heat, i.e. carbohydrates.
I am starting to get mail from subscribers who are asking if they can stop following their eczema diet and go back to eating junk food or foods full of white flour or dairy because they are feeling the cold.
There is no need to resort to this way of eating. You can continue with the very healthy way you are eating. A way of eating that creates beautiful soft skin and other benefits besides.
So how do you make the smooth transition from warm summer months to that of the autumn or winter period.
Tip #1 - Information on Eczema – Eczema Diet for the Cold
The Eczema Diet includes a lot of water based foods such as tomato, cucumber, grapes, etc. These are wonderful body cleansers and they have their place on your menu. During the winter months you should reduce the amount of high water based foods you eat by half.
In the spring time you should return to your normal amount.
Tip #2 - Information on Eczema – Eczema Diet for the Cold
Increase the number of soups and stews you prepare each week. One vegetable soup or stew meal per day is great. These dishes will have the effect of keeping you warm for a longer period of time.
Tip #3 - Information on Eczema – Eczema Diet for the Cold
Increase the amount of oils you include in your meals on a regular basis. An extra teaspoon of Flaxseed, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Hemp Seed oils should do the trick. That will make a marked difference in the way that you feel.
