Why do my calves always itch so badly? I rip holes in them scratching!?

I have just been living with this and accepting for so long that I just have itchy calves. I go through periods when the degree of itchiness is worse than most. I can never seem to find a pattern of any behavior that causes this. I don't use perfumed lotions or soap. I am careful with my laundry soap. It doesn't seem to make a difference.

There doesn't seem to be a pattern related to food.

There is no rash. My skin is so smooth. I have used over the counter eczema lotion which sometimes relieves it, and sometimes doesn't. I am pretty sure when seasons change it gets worse and my skin get dryer, but it also gets bad randomly.

There is no rash, but my skin does get dry and I rip holes in it scratching. No other part of my body itches like this.

Anyone have any clue what this could be about. I am 30 and female. My doctor just told me I was low on vitamin b12. I never thought to mention this itchiness to him or ask if the b12 thing could effect that.

Get checked for Lyme Disease. You get it from ticks and sometimes it shows up by itchy legs. I know I have it and had the same symptoms. Could also be from sweat if your socks are too tight. But is you have the ankle length socks have your Dr check you for Lyme.
