How Eczema Is Diagnosed

Will I be disqualified at MEPS for a bad rash on my ankle?
I believe this rash is eczema (which I know is an automatic disqualifier), but I have never been diagnosed.
How likely is it that they will closely examine my ankles? Do they really check that closely?
Do you have any suggestions for making this look better so it is more likely to go unnoticed?
Eczema is not an automatic disqualifier. I have it and I was in the Navy....it is considered disqualifying...but that doesn't mean you can not join.
I found out that I had it after I was in. I didn't have a rash when I went for my physical. I had a few other health issues. I got in with Hay Fever and that is something that can be disqualifying.
It is a case by case thing and it depends on how bad it is. Try to clear it up for your own health. But don't worry too much about it. Don't try to cover it up, but if it goes in remission then you will have less to worry about.
I use Cortaid or some other Hydrocortizone cream. It usually clears up in a few days to a week. You might get a cream from your doctor. Some of the over the counter stuff is not as strong as what you can get a prescription for.
Note: Get the physical reschedualed until you clear it up. I will be much easier to get a waiver if it is not an outbreak stage. That will at least show that you have control over it.
