I don't know carriedee, so I don't know the location of the psoriasis you are talking about.
But, switch to a moisturizing soap (like Dove), and use a tar based shampoo. Not head & shoulders, but something that has 5% or 10% tar. If it is on your scalp, shampoo (no duh!). But if it is on your skin (knees, elbows, etc.) just rub it on for a few seconds then wash it off. Have patience, it may take a couple of weeks.
If you are already using a moisturizing soap, try another one. And cut back on any chemicals that may be being used near where you have the problem.
