anyone have any new ideas on treatments for psoriasis?
Hi Paula, because there is no cure everyone will have various answers, mine I seem to get by.
When the skin is dry I use Eucerin 10% all over, into a dressing gown and chill, the next day I use a steroid cream only on the affected area thats called Elecon. I only bath in Eucerin bath therapy and only wash my hair in T-Gel.
That really is all I use, i've tried tar and coals but all that gets messy. All the above medicines are available on prescription. being on low income I couldn't afford Fairy washing powder and actually found that Tesco Automatic Value washing powder never affects my skin which is amazing as you can get a big box for £1.42.
I wish you luck, it is hard finding stuff that works, I've tried dead sea salts, eating pistacio nuts, so many things but in the end you just spend loads of money and your skin just fights against it all, so if you find something that keeps it down then stick to it, but its not going to go so just stay comfortable, enjoy the good times and accept the bad times.
