Over The Counter Eczema Ointment

Eczema Pigmentation help?

i used to and to a certain extent still do have eczema patches over my body. but the old once have stopped flaking and have returned to normal-ish skin after using a doctor prescribed corticosteroid cream called "Betamethasone Valerate" or "Betnovate" for short.

after using this cream. the skin where it was applied has changed pigmentation and is darker than the rest of the skin and looks really horrible.

Does anyone have any Natural remedies or "over the counter" creams/ointments, that will restore the pigmentation?1?!?

You presumably have darker skin. Steroids do not bleach the skin, though stronger ones like the betamethasone can constrict blood vessels making it look lighter for a few hours. After inflammation from things like eczema and acne the skin will have color changes. Fair skinned people may get red color. Darker skinned people generally get white or dark spots. These are not permanent, but can take months to years to return to normal. Since you have darker patches you may be able to bleach them. I highly recommend avoiding sunlight and tanning bed light as these will darken skin. The darker skin will get darker yet and the white patches will look lighter if the surrounding skin gets darker. Try some over the counter hydroquinone cream to bleach or wait it out.
