HELP small blisters all over my hands!?

I have a hundred over small blisters all over the back of my hand, fingers and palm, which are really itchy and uncomfortable. I went to the doctor and got antibiotics and anti-fungal cream to apply but theres still no use! i don't seem to see any effect...in fact, it's still spreading, even to my wrists and now to my left hand!

i tried searching online and i think i might have pompholyx/dyshidrotic eczema but i'm not sure...if it really is eczema. how long would it roughly take to disappear? i really need it to be gone soon cause i have a major project i need to hand up really soon and i can't work with my hands in this condition. HELP!

I think you are certainly closer to the answer than your doctor is!! It is NOT a fungal disease, so you can stop using the antifungal medicine. Pompholyx is a form of dyshidrotic eczema in which large bullae appear on the palms; the fact that you have a lot of small blisters on both the tops and palms indicates that you probably have some other form of eczema, perhaps a contact dermatitis. It really makes no difference, at the onset of treatment, what type of eczema you have, as the treatment with cortisone products would be the same. However, if it's a form of dyshidrotic eczema, then you probably are going to have repeated bouts of it; if it's a contact dermatitis, then avoiding the responsible chemical will allow you not to have the condition again. If the present problem is severe enough, you may need either a prescription strength cream or even oral cortisone. Go to your dermatologist, not a GP.
