Psoriatic Arthritis....?

does anyone have any ideas about nautral remedies for this? not the psoriasis part, but the arthritis part. i have 2 young kids and can hardly walk. my insurance pays all but 375$ a month for my medication and i know of noone who can pay that. i'm open to any suggestions!

I will tell you but as to if you take the advise, that is up to you. I have Psoriasis and for many years was told I had Psoriatic Arthritis, however my Psoriasis never flared, it just remained stagnant? I was even hospitalizes several time! Anyway eventually I went abroad to see a Rheumatologist who specializes in PA and this was my last port of call, because I had been for first, second and third opinions. If this Doctor told me to stand on my head for six hours a day, I swore I would do it! After the usual barrage of tests he said 'I want you to go to a Health Shop and buy something called evening primrose oil. Then I want you to take 1,000mgs per condition!' That was it, no Methotrexate, no steroids, no nothing? I left the Hospital located a Helath Shop and purchased my extra large tub. I took three capsules twice a day and outside of have very loose bad odor bowel for about a week, noticed zero! However, this was it, keep popping these capsules! When we got Home we found out our House had been sold and so were busy packing and trying to locate a new house to buy, did not have time to think. We moved and then the usual decorating and gardening and so on. It was December 1998, a man who was going to instal a Desk Top with Internet, that I knew from College arrived and set about plugging me into the Global Highway. Just before he left he said 'I do not know what drugs you are on, but I have never seen you looking better'. I thought BS! I then sat back and thought, odd usually I am in Hospital twice a year with the PA, but not so far this year? He was right, all the stiff joints were no more and my skin was looking so much better. Here I am now 2008, still on the evening primrose oil, now on Prescription from my GP, as it is classed as a Drug. Now I have started to tackle the skin and to date excellent results? Why not before? Well the Doctor who told me about the evening primrose oil was going on about GLA and how people with Psoriasis cannot manufacture it from the diet, meant zero to me? However it seems it is very important for regualting the hormones? Now I am Menopausel, so now we have a window to attack the lesions and get shot of them forever and so far, looking the best I have been since I was 15! The psoriasis erupted at 16! Best of Luck

Psoriasis commonly affects Caucasians, in fact health statistics show that there are two percent of Caucasians both males and female in the United States alone are suffering from psoriasis. Genetics and environment plays an important role in diagnosing psoriatic arthritis.

Though the causes of having this disease is still not known, doctors believe that this condition can be hereditary or that your body have been exposed with harmful bacteria and viruses in the environment, that is why this disease is triggered. Patients may also develop tendonitis and inflammation around the cartilage, lungs, and eyes. It can also damage the spine, chest bones, and the sacrum, making it hard for the patient to move.

Among all patients with arthritis, patients with psoriatic arthritis have the highest emotional stress of all. Because they are not only dealing with the embarrassing fact that they have psoriasis, they also deal with the unending pain of having arthritis. As the pain and swelling flares, daily movements becomes a burden, it interferes with their work, social functions, daily activities and social life. To date, there is no cure for this kind of disease. Both psoriasis and arthritis are autoimmune disorder. This disorder occurs when the immune system of the body starts to attack healthy cells and tissues instead of harmful viruses and bacteria's. This causes an abnormality, which causes inflammation in the joints and over production of skin cells such as in the case of psoriasis. The medications that are available in the market today only target the swelling, inflammation, and pain.
