Psoriasis Between Toes
How to tell the difference between psoriasis and athletes foot (see detail)?
For years I've had problems with my toes. A red itchy rash that drives me crazy that eventually goes cracked and flaky and it really sore. I have tried just about every over the counter fungal remedy known to man and they don't help much. The creams make it worse, the powders help a little but not much. I do all the things your supposed to do with athletes foot, wash, dry, talc, clean sock etc etc. The rash does go in between my toes but is mostly on the top side of my toes and spreads down my foot. Never infects the nails. I saw the doctor once and he prescribed Canosten, which doesn't work. So I wondered is it Fungal at all, could it psoriasis and how would you tell?
It's interesting that you only gave me two choices to choose between. Because my first thought is that you actually have eczema, and not psoriasis or athlete's foot. However, without actually seeing the problem, I"m unable to give you anything other than a guess.
