Best way to get rid of psoriasis ?
I have two huge patches on my knees that are psoriasis and I've had it since I was born (or from a really young age) and it really is annoying. I can't kneel and if I scratch it, it flakes and bleeds. What is the best treatment for it AND what causes psoriasis ? I thought it was dead cells that were just mitosing over and over ...

I have been taking the shot enbrel for 5 weeks now. I noticed a difference in the first week. I know how you feel I used to be that bad. I first used over the counter MG 217 it's coal tar ointment it stains and smells but it did work for a while.
The cause of psoriasis well your skin produces T cells which they are produced because your body has a cut or infection and it is fighting it off. With Psoriasis it produces 10 times as much as a normal person and it always thinks something is wrong. so therefore it is also a immune system problem.

In psoriasis skin, the speed at which skin brings up the new cells and sheds the old increases many fold. The cells are shed every third or fourth day instead of a month.
