Am I allergic to water?

I have just moved down to the south of England after having lived in Scotland for the past 10 years. I used to live in south England when I was younger, and for the whole time I used to have really itchy red patchy skin, that wasn't eczema or psoriasis - doctors just didn't know. I tried creams, lotions, coal tar, diet changes, everything. Nothing worked.

I then moved up to Scotland and within weeks, my skin was perfect, and that was that. But now I've moved down here, within a few weeks the skin is back. Is it something in the water down here? I eat the same so it cannot be diet related, I use the same washing powders, same cleaning products, same toiletries....... what on earth can I do? Apart from get a Brita filter?

Doctors for this are crap - I've tried for years before and nothing worked with them. I'm pretty sure it's the water treatment?

You are not allergic to water.

However, you can be allergic to what your city puts into the water. Such as chlorine, flouride etc.

These things depend on city to city and on the specific purification parameters for each area. A filter will help you immensely.
