Psoriasis Disease
is psoriasis a disease or illness?
Psoriasis is a multisystem condition of the body affecting the skin, joints and the internal parts. Disease would be appropriate, but don't usually consider it an illness. It is associated with a rash on the skin; possible nail changes; possible joint pain stiffness and swelling; increased risk for cardiovascular disease such a heart attack; increased risk of diabetes and lymphoma. It is not contagious.
