Psoriasis Mrsa

psoriasis and working in the hospital?

I have just started with an agency as a bank staff for an agency, they dont want me to wear a long sleeved shirt under my uniform, I suffer from psoriasis and that is why I wear this shirt. I feel it is embarrassing to see this unsightly skin and also as MRSA is so on the increase I feel I have to wear this .serious answers only as I am being serious.

Hey ;)

Like you say, not only is it a risk to your health with super-bugs, and other ordinary bugs that are present in hospitals, it's also making you feel uncomfortable.
If you really feel embarrassed, explain it properly to them, and just go to work wearing it.

I'm sure they'll understand, and if not, it's your choice whether to stay or go!

Hope that helps ;)

Discover Honey For Aging Skin

You may be asking why recommend honey for aging skin? There are several reasons, actually. Here's a quick look at the subject.

Honey has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. In recent history, it became a part of "folk medicine", snubbed by the mainstream medical community. To practitioners of natural alternative medicine, however, it never went out of style.

A growing number of people are looking for more natural alternatives. We have grown wary of using petroleum-based oils and petrochemicals on the outside of our body, partially, because we don't know what they may do to the inside of our bodies. Many of us are concerned about ingredients that are not bio-degradable, for fear of how the negative effects these ingredients have on water dwelling plants and creatures.

Triclosan is a prime example of an ingredient that is not biodegradable. All of the anti-bacterial soaps that you have in your home, as well as many other cosmetics, especially hand lotion, contains triclosan. We have to remember that it eventually ends up in the water supply and stays there, for who knows how long.

That's one of the reasons that we recommend honey for aging skin. Certain varieties can replace triclosan, because of their antibacterial activity. But, as with most natural ingredients, honey is completely biodegradable and harmless to the environment.

Most people realize that they become more susceptible to infections of all kinds as they grow older. Antibacterial soaps and hand lotions are often recommended for elderly people. It is hoped that they will reduce the spread of influenza, which can be deadly, common colds and staph infections.

But, instead of the mass-marketed antibacterial soaps on the market, we recommend cleansers containing manuka honey for aging skin. When compared to other varieties, the enzymes in manuka have the highest antibacterial activity. Manuka may even be effective for treating antibiotic-resistant staph infections, commonly referred to as MRSA.

In additional to the antibacterial activity, manuka has high antioxidant activity. Antioxidants of all kinds are important for preventing the signs of age. Some are even effective for reversing or reducing them. For example, coenzyme Q10 has been shown to reduce wrinkling by over 30% in recent studies. One of the better night creams on the market contains manuka and coenzyme Q10, along with the natural moisturizer, Shea Butter.

One thing that using honey for aging skin cannot do is moisturize. It does assist in the formation of stronger collagen, a protein responsible for the skin's strength and firmness. It does help heal blemishes and is beneficial for conditions like psoriasis and eczema, but it is most beneficial when used at night and the best nighttime moisturizer is Shea Butter.

Now that you are armed with this information, there are many different grades of Shea butter and manuka. Not all compounds containing coenzyme Q10 are as beneficial as the one used in the study. Basically, you need to shop for a high quality product. You don't have to pay hundreds of dollars, but if you are interested in manuka honey for aging skin, the cheapest solutions just won't do.
