Psoriasis Prescription Shampoo
URGENT! Horrible painful itchy psoriasis!!?
I have had psoriasis for about 2 years, but it is at its worst right now. I have tried herbal treatments, over the counter creams, and prescription shampoo and liquid. I would use the shampoo but it is so bad that it hurts even to take a shower or go swimming. It is really bad on my neck and my scalp. It is bleeding and flaking. I know practically everything about my disease but how to get rid of it without pain! What about those shots or is there some kind of pill??? HELP IM IN CONSTANT PAIN!
Go to your dermotologist. Ask for kenalog injections. They will help for immediate relief. Also ask for a prescription called derma-smoothe. It's an oil for your scalp. Leave it on over night and then wash it out..it nearly completely gets rid of the flakes (temporarily). There's also a new scalp med. called Taclonex. It comes in an ointment for skin and (just out) an oil for the scalp.
If you need immediate relief, try saffron oil or olive oil...it will help soften and remove the plak.
I've had psoriasis for more than 40 years. It's a battle. I currently receive Embrel injections twice a week. No cure, but it controls the problem most of the time.
