Folks with scalp psoriasis: Treatments that have worked well for you?
My scalp psoriasis has begun to flare up again after many years (I've had severe to moderate psoriasis since I was a baby) and I'm flaking almost every day. It's getting extremely annoying and bothersome. I'm currently using prescription salicylic acid in mineral oil every night, which of course only treats the flaking, so it just keeps coming back over and over again. I use T-Gel all the time; it isn't helping much. Have any of you had trouble with scalp psoriasis? If so, I'd like to hear anything you've tried that was more or less successful.
I had psoriasis on my scalp for about 2 years non stop.
I supplement with probiotics and evening primrose oil, and I use emu oil shampoo from desertpalmsemu.com. My head has been clear for about 3-4 months.
Short term, my hair dresser would rub straight emu oil into my scalp and then cover with a shower cap for several hours. That helped quite a lot.
