Is there a way to get rid of psoriasis?
Alright here's how it goes. I've had psoriasis for over 2 years now! It all began when I was in sixth grade and I had these cuts under my eyes. They were always red and peeled a lot. At first doctors said it was just dryness and it would eventually go away. But soon my head started to itch a lot. And eventually flakes of skin would come off. I went to a dermatologist and they said I had psoriasis. I have used many creams and sprays, but now basically my entire body has it! I'm sick of having to put creams that don't work. I hate having people in my school ask me questions about why I have red spots all over me. I hate changing for gym, and I quit sports. I hate sleeping with all the creams and waking up all oily and disgusting. I know it may not be as severe as other conditions, but I can't take it anymore! I can't deal with this disease the rest of my life. Please help, psoriasis is ruining my life!

I'm not here to sell you anything. I'm here to tell you the ugly, brutal truth about psoriasis. I've been dealing with it for over 11 years now, so I know what I'm talking about. You are going to have to change your attitude as much as you can and learn to live with this disease. I'm sure your doctor told you this when you were diagnosed, but I'm going to tell you again because we people (this includes you) who have to deal with a chronic (in other words, lifelong) illness need to be reminded of this from time to time: There is no cure for psoriasis. You will have it and be dealing with it for the rest of your life. If you spend all your time hating your body and your condition, you will let it ruin your life. There is more to you than your red painful skin, and you need to remember that. What you need to do is keep going to the doctor and keep trying the medications they give you. If you don't think your dermatologist is doing enough to help you, talk to them first, and if you don't get anywhere, find another dermatologist. My 6th dermatologist is the one I've stuck with. It's terrible to have to use all those expensive and messy ointments and lotions and creams every day. In my case, it's not so much fun to take steroids all the time. It sucks to have to give myself a shot of Methotrexate once a week. It blows that every six weeks I have to go to the doctor and sit for three hours while I get an IV of Remicade. But now I'm 99% clear. It took a long time to find what worked for me, and it's beginning not to work so well anymore. I know that at any time my psoriasis can come back and cover up my body again. (At my worst, my entire body was 70% covered in psoriasis patches.) This is what it is to deal with psoriasis. You keep going. You keep trying to make yourself as well as you can be.
