Can anyone recommend a cream that works for psoriasis please.?
My partner suffers from it, go's to the hospital regular and is just given dermovate and moisuriser. He has it on his feet/legs they are cracked and sometimes bleed. Most nights he applies the cream and puts them in bags to stop it going everywhere ( what a nuisance). I've had some great advice from yahoo members regarding products to use for bath/shower etc which I thought the hospital should have recommended months ago - winter is coming and i know as soon as he starts wearing shoes, its going to get really bad. Any advice would be appreciated - thank you!!
Try to get hold of some licorice cream. This one has licorice and other anti-inflammatory herbal extracts:

...........but do some research and shop around if cost is a consideration.
The Green Pharmacy Herbal Handbook might give you a better idea on what to try for psoriasis:

He could also try Sarsaparilla smilax capsules. It is a traditional rain forest treatment for psoriasis.

Holland and Barrett in the UK sell Sarsaparilla smilax root capsules.
Someone I know who has a psoriasis-like skin condition on their hands and feet uses Cuticura hand and nail cream and that stops the flaking and cracking....though the skin still bubbles when under stress. Not sure if that would help your partner though but it might be worth trying. However, I would still try a cream containing licorice [an anti-inflammatory herb] and other anti-inflammatory herbs such as chamomile and calendula.
He should also take fish oil as that is anti-inflammatory and might help with skin dryness in the winter months.
Do some research on these supplements.
Hope that helps.
Scalp Conditions Fungus - Cure for Infections of the Scalp That Causes Extreme Itching
So the question that this article will answer is if doctors and dermatologists can be trusted to cure a severe scalp condition.
What is a severe scalp condition?
A severe scalp condition is an infection of the scalp that produces symptoms that matches or are similar to any of the following: Scalp Sores, Pimples on the Scalp (also known as bumps), Bleeding, Recurring Dandruff, Constant Irritation, Dryness, Tight feeling on the scalp, Redness, Oily Scalp, Thinning of hair, Grainy or Sandy residues developing on the scalp.
If any of these scalp symptoms is similar to what you're dealing with, you suffer from what is known as a severe scalp disorder and the question you've probably had to wonder about is if a doctor can actually cure you.
The answer to that mysterious question is a capital NO!
Are there doctors out there that can actually cure infections of the scalp? Yes.
Are these doctors the majority? NO!
Will you have a tremendously difficult time finding the right doctor with adequate knowledge on scalp infections? Absolutely Yes!
Take a long look at the search results that Google.com/Yahoo.com/Ask.com will provide you when you go on them to search for scalp remedies. You'll find numerous stories of people who have been battling their scalp infections or scalp discomfort for months and years, DESPITE having been to the doctor or dermatologist multiple times. And I was no exception.
See, a little over three years ago, when I first started suffering from my scalp condition, I spent several hours on the internet just searching for a scalp remedy. I searched and searched, and searched again, several times over, but only came up with redundant suggestions that led to expensive heartbreaking dead-ends.
Most of the comments on the internet that I encountered advised that I see a doctor/dermatologist immediately. I was at first against the idea because it was going to cost money and I had a feeling it'd be a waste of time anyway. But after about a year of having to deal with the constant itching and bleeding on my scalp, and the extreme irritation that came with it, I gave in. I had to. The discomfort was just too unbearable. It was pure hell.
I marched straight into the doctor's office, paid my $30 co-pay, thinking this would be the end of my misery. Unfortunately, it wasn't. My worst fear was realized. The trip was a waste of time!
Here I was thinking my doctor would inject me with some type of syringe that'll deal with the problem instantaneously, but no she didn't do that.
She merely glanced at my scalp for a few seconds and subsequently concluded my scalp condition was due to dryness. I was stunned. Dryness? That insinuated she thought the problem wasn't serious, which it was. I knew it was serious because I was the one suffering from it. I knew firsthand the degree of agony I've been having to endure daily.
But anyway, I didn't argue with her. She was the doctor. I figured she'd know more. She prescribed me some pill which I used for about 2 weeks, didn't work. It provided no relief what so ever.
I went to a different doctor, this time, a dermatologist. She looked at my scalp, again, for a few seconds, and diagnosed the problem as Psoriasis. I asked her what could have caused it. She said it was stress. Her solution was to prescribe me something called Dermasmooth. It didn't work. Another disappointment!
I'm going to stop here because, stories like the above is what I repeatedly had to deal with for three years. It was the same old frustrating song and dance that brought tears to my eyes, and I'm a grown man!
After all those years of torture at the hands of my scalp disease, it was clear to me finding a genuine scalp cure was going to be very difficult, if not impossible. But through the grace of god, I did happen to "stumble" upon the elusive remedy and it wasn't through a doctor or a dermatologist.
How exactly I found the cure will be saved for another article, but if you're desperate for a remedy right now, this is what you need to do to cure yourself. You must go back to your doctor, any doctor and specifically tell them to prescribe you the following:
Germicidal Antibiotics - a special kind of it.
Hydrating Cleanser - a must have - this must be prescribed. You can't and shouldn't get this off the counter.
The above two medicines must be used together in order to achieve the permanent cure that they are designed to deliver.
