Baby Eczema Bath
what products to use on a Baby with Eczema?

i just found out my 3month baby has eczema. The docter told me not to use dreft detergent or basically anything scented. for those who have infants with eczema what bath and body products do you use on your baby?

Try the averno eczema care line.it's actually a whole care line for infants with eczema. They work the best.try hydocortizone as a cream to stop the itching. Try mostly the averno but you can try the Johnson line. Talk to your babies dermatologist and he will better explain, but I would use the averno because that is what I use and it works!

Help! My Baby has Exema: How to Use Wet Wrap Therapy to Cure Baby Eczema

Babies often suffer from birth until the age of about 6 months with a condition that is termed cradle cap but is actually a form of eczema known as seborrhoea dermatitis. This form of dermatitis appears often on the head of the baby in the form of a crusty dandruff and is linked to a low amount of biotin in the body. This can be treated topically and with growing and naturally eating foods that naturally contain biotin such as apples, tomatoes, and celery. Babies at birth do have very soft skin but eczema can develop in the natural folds of the skin where perspiration can be trapped. If there is sensitivity or a genetic link to other family members that have a predisposition to asthma, eczema, acne, or other allergies then prevention is better than cure. Eczema cannot be cured.

Don't Lose the Faith: By learning and applying the wet wrap therapy to your baby you will definitely begin to even the playing field against eczema. By implementing these following steps the wet wrap therapy will prove to be certain winner, including but not limited to:

  1. Gain information about eczema and eczema therapies. As you might already know, eczema in children is usually treated with hydrocortisone or otherwise Elidel, which can be harmful to the child's skin over time. It is my mission to inform people about certain therapies because these therapies are natural as opposed to man-made chemical based remedies.
  2. Soak child in bath with baby oil. The water should be lukewarm, and bath should last 5 to 10 minutes in length.
  3. After bathing child with renewing oil (bath oil) pat the skin partially dry with a cotton towel while being careful not to rub the skin as rubbing can irritate the child skin even more.
  4. Apply moisture and moisturizer to the child after leaving the tub. Renewing lotion only should be applied directly to the childs skin as recommended by your health and wellness consultant.
  5. Moisten the bandages and wrap. The bandages are generally moistened by soaking them in the bath water or applying moisturizer.
  6. Wrap the wet bandages on the area to be treated. Wet bandages can be used on any area of the body, including the head and face, that the patient will tolerate.
  7. Lastly, be sure to lock in moisture by applying dry bandages over the wet ones.
