Hands And Feet Eczema

Could it be possible that I have eczema on my hands?

I know I have eczema on my feet and I'm using Extra Virgin Olive Oil on it. It has calmed down now, but I'm seeing little micro-sized holes all over my palms. Whenever they get itchy and start burning, I would sometimes try to pop them and this yellow, oil-like goo oozes out. I started seeing them around my fingers but its getting worse to where its on my palms. And no matter how much lotion I've been using on my hands, they immediately go dry and itchy after about an hour of the use. I've seen this happening on my foot before I started using the olive oil on it. I've also tried oil on my hands to see if it would go away, but it just stays there. Could it be that the same thing that was happening to my foot could be starting on my hands, but worse? Please help!

Yes it is possible. The hands are a very common site for eczema. Go and see your Doctor and he will give you an emollient and a mild steroid cream to reduce the inflammation.

Once your eczema is under control it is then just a case of management. Always keep your hands well moisturized. Avoid all soap products and fabric softeners. Use products for sensitive skin. You also need to avoid any irritants and always use rubber gloves when doing the washing up. The less you put your hands in water, the better.
