Is Eczema A Disease

Can allergy testing determine if your allergic to penicillin?
My son when he was little got very slight rash when he took amoxicillin. Now he is twelve and since then has been diagnosed with eczema and celiac disease which can cause a rash so I don't know if he truly is allergic to penicillin?
As an allergy sufferer myself, I say take him to an allergist. They can perform a simple skin "scratch" test to see if he truely is allergic. The problem is you get a rash the 1st time, but may have an anaphylactic reaction (respiratory) the next time.
Treatments of Eczema – Bad Fats Create Eczema
If you're suffering with ill health such as eczema you may need to look at the foods your eating especially the fats. Fats are contained in a wide array of foods and they are usually hidden, i.e. we are not aware that they are contained in certain foods.
The issue is however, that there are good fats and bad fats and it goes without saying that you should focus on the good fats. Good fats rejuvenate your body, your skin and your cells. Good cells reduce the pace at which you age and lubricate your joints.
Bad fats are those that have been heated or processed or both and are full of trans fatty acids. Bad fats contain no nutritional value whatsoever. Trans fatty acids from cooked or processed fat can kill you. They have been associated with immune dysfunction, eczema, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, low birth weight and obesity.
Trans fatty acids from hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils are poisonous and are almost everywhere. You can find them in biscuits, bread, desserts, cakes and cookies.
You can tell if a product contains trans fatty acids by reading the label very carefully and looking at the content. If the product contains “shortening,” “partially hydrogenated vegetable oil” or “hydrogenated vegetable oil,” it contains trans fatty acids.
Not all fats are bad however.
Good fats on the other hand are essential and cannot be created by the body. Good fats include coconut oil, flax seed oil and extra virgin olive oil.
Other reasons why you should stay away from trans fatty acids:
#1 - Trans fatty acids interfere with cell respiration.
#2 - Trans fatty acids increase fat storage.
#3 - Trans fatty acids slow down cell functioning lowering cell vitality.
#4 - Trans fatty acids create thicker and stickier blood platlets.
