Treating Eczema Infants

Dealing with cradle cap in black infant?
How do I treat my newborn cradle cap issue. Not to be mean but he is African American and his scalp is very dry and he has lost hair as well. He has eczema as well.
I just mentioned that he is African American due to the fact his scalp is very dry and needs moisturized.
Although my daughter is not African American, she has very dry skin and eczema as well. We battled cradle cap for about 3 to 4 months. We applied the baby oil, let it set in a bit, then scrubbed with the hard plastic comb from the hospital; we did this routine every night, sometimes twice a day. It seemed to help some, but never got rid of it completely. We tried rubbing in a good amount of Cetaphil (which we had for her dry skin/eczema anyway) on the cradle cap, and in less than a week, it was gone! She is now the proud owner of a soft and smooth scalp. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you and your baby boy!
