Treatment For Eczema On Lips

My daughter has a rash on her cheek and chin that look like a bug bite. It's spread and now oozes and is red!
She scratched it pretty bad for the first 2 days, now it's day 5 and she doesn't really scratch it but I'm concerned as it's red and when I try to clean it off, it seems to ooze a bit. I'm thinking poison ivy or eczema. The one on her chin seems worse because it's close to her lip and it gets moist more often. She is two. Any advice on what anybody thinks it is and/or treatment?
If it lasted this long, go to a doctor. Especially if it oozes - sounds like it might be infected (I had a skin infection once, not pretty - literally).
If you would like to know how to get rid of lip sores, there are a number of steps you can take. Although not life threatening, these tiny splits and cuts can be excruciatingly painful, particularly when eating and drinking, and their appearance can be very embarrassing-especially when scabbed over.
First of all, you should be aware that around 95% of persistent lip sores are caused by a common condition known as Angular Cheilitis. This happens due to the presence of bacteria in the damp areas at the corners of the mouth, which is very difficult to eradicate once it has taken hold. Very often, this develops into a fungal infection and if left untreated can be present for years, with each attack increasing in severity.
The corners of the lips provide a perfect environment to trap this bacteria. Very often, there are very tiny pockets of skin at the corners of the mouth which are damp and warm. When moisture is present, it gets trapped. This moisture can come from dribbling or drooling, possibly due to ill-fitting dentures or braces or can be the result of pen biting or finger sucking. It can even happen to people who unwittingly drool when asleep! It is most likely to cause problems when the sufferer has a weakened immune system or nutritional deficiency, but this is by no means always the case.
For those trying to find out how to get rid of lip sores, first of all, take a good all-round nutritional supplement. Next, think carefully about what the source of the moisture could be. If it is dentures or a brace, then get them adjusted. If it is pen/finger biting, discourage this by painting bitter anti-nail biting solution onto the offending object!
To get some pain relief, a thin layer of petroleum jelly will prevent air from hitting the lip sores and this in itself will provide some temporary pain relief.
The best method for those wanting to know how to get rid of lip sores is to use a method which starves the bacteria of oxygen. If there is no oxygen, then the bacteria cannot survive-period!
If you have had cracked lip corners or sores for more than a couple of days, it is likely that the condition has taken hold. If you would like to look at pictures that can help you verify your own condition, you can download this simple and effective overnight cure from the Angular Chelitis Foundation. This cure will stop oxygen getting to the area and dry out the condition within hours, providing fast and permanent relief.
